The Curve Foundation champions authentic storytelling by and about LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people. Through our journalism initiatives, including the Curve Fellowship for Emerging Journalists, Curve Quarterly, the Curve Award for Excellence in Lesbian Coverage, and the Queer Women’s Media Coalition (QWMC), we nurture new voices and celebrate those who have paved the way.
At the heart of this work is the Curve Magazine Archive, a living record of more than 30 years of queer women’s history. By preserving our legacy and sharing these stories, we empower the next generation of journalists to continue shaping a more inclusive media landscape.
An award which honors the contributions of journalists that have dedicated their careers of 10+ years to lesbian stories and storytellers.
An annual fellowship created to recognize and support emerging journalists (10 years or less) focused on raising the visibility of LGBTQ+ women, trans people, and non-binary people. Applications currently closed.

The Curve Foundation is proud to have created the Queer Women’s Media Coalition, a powerful collective of lesbian, queer women and nonbinary-led publications that are reshaping how our stories are told.
Each outlet brings its own perspective, voice, and passion to our vibrant global community. Thank you for being part of this movement with us. Let’s keep showing up, lifting each other up, and championing the stories that bring us together.
