Merryn Johns is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster and public speaker. She is currently Editor-in-Chief of Curve Quarterly and was previously Editor-in-Chief of Curve Magazine 2010—2020. Most recently she was Editor-in-Chief of Queer Forty, as well as a reporter handling breaking international news. Originally from Sydney, Australia Merryn began her career in LGBTQ journalism in the 1990s. She is based in New York City and has written for Vanity Fair, Vogue, Slate, Pacific Standard, INTO, Gay Cities, DIVA, and more. She is a regular guest anchor for America’s weekly LGBTQ news show, GayUSA TV.
