Help Shape the Future for LGBTQ+ Women’s Safety, Inclusion, and Families
BY CURVE STAFF

As part of this year’s Lesbian Visibility Week (April 21-27, 2025), we are conducting the 2025 Kantar CURVE/DIVA Survey—the largest international research initiative focused on the lives and needs of LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people. This year, we’re exploring two critical topics: safety and parenting—both as LGBTQ+ individuals and as parents of LGBTQ+ children. Our aim is to better understand the realities of safety and inclusion for LGBTQ+ women, nonbinary people, and their families.

Take the survey here.
The survey is open until Feb 28, 2025

You can take the relevant survey here:  US | UK | IN | ZA

The survey is focused on the lived experiences of our community—how safe we feel in public spaces, at work, online, and in everyday life. Conducted in partnership with Kantar, creators of the world’s first Inclusion Index, this groundbreaking research will inform advocacy, shape policy, and guide businesses in better serving LGBTQ+ individuals and families.

We’d love your help in spreading the word! The more voices we hear, the greater the impact this research will have in shaping policies, resources, and support for our community. Let us know if you’d like to get involved (contact [email protected]).

Within this survey, we are asking key research questions:

  • How safe do LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people feel in their communities?
  • What are the biggest barriers to safety and inclusion?
  • How do factors such as race, ethnicity, and socio-economic background intersect with LGBTQ+ experiences?
  • What are the unique experiences and challenges of LGBTQ+ parents?
  • How do parents navigate raising children who identify as LGBTQ+?

All responses will be anonymous to protect your identity. Your answers will be reported in aggregate form to help shape organizational strategies, resources, and policies that improve safety and support for LGBTQ+ individuals.

The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes, and participation is completely voluntary.

In our 2024 Curve/Diva Survey, we found that only 54% of trans people felt safe on social media. Additionally, out of 2,000 respondents, nearly half felt that LGBTQ+ networks in the workplace were male-dominated.

This year’s international survey is brought to you by Kantar, The Curve Foundation, and The DIVA Charitable Trust in the UK. Kantar is the world’s leading marketing data and analytics business, and The Curve Foundation champions LGBTQ+ women’s culture and stories through intergenerational programming and community building.
